My child is having difficulty in school and we have tried everything, including after school tutorial, online tutoring, and home tutoring. What can you do differently?
The reasons why a student is not reaching his/her full potential in school can be as diverse as a student’s learning style. Centerpoint Learning can help on a number of levels. I refer to a Licensed Educational/Clinical Psychologist who can provide a full array of diagnostic testing to investigate the possibility of a learning disability/disorder. Upon completion of the testing, clients are provided with a comprehensive report and detailed recommendations for building a successful education plan. I can provide Family-School Partnership Support to ensure that the student’s academic needs are being met and understood by all parties involved in their education. Finally, your child will benefit from the enriching one-to-one instruction provided by an experienced Educational Therapist who undergoes continuous training in cognitive diversity and effective teaching strategies.
What can parents do?
The work that I do and the work that schools do with children cannot replace the all-important role of the parent(s). You are your child’s biggest advocate and best chance for success. If you need any guidance I would love to help.
